Adorable and Edible!

Ok, been a little slow on the crafting front lately, but that should pick up again soon. This post in focused on some of the adorable things I found of one of my favorite sites: musthavecute.com (once again, my computer is refusing to let me add links!)

First off, we have some adorable corset cookies. Maybe for a boudoir themed party? A bachelorette bash? Something Marie Antoinette themed? Or maybe it's a sick way to remind people that if you eat cookies, you might end up having to wear a corset? (I'd still eat one!!)

Also in with the "french" theme, cameo cookies! I'm a huge fan of cameo jewelry, so I would love to munch one of these.

I am in love with these! This is definitely going to be a project and future post. Basically, it involves baking pink colored cakes, cutting out heart shapes and baking the heart shapes into cupcakes. LOVE IT!!

Lastly, these fabulous floral cupcakes. They look so lovely and delicate, I would most likely admire them rather than eat them. I wonder how much time went into crafting these little pieces of flowery deliciousness.

If you have any other cute edibles, please, let me know!

Until next time, Keep it fabulous!

Makeup Experiment: E.L.F. Makeup from Target's $1 line

So, I have a small obsession with beauty products, but I hate going to MAC and spending something like 20 dollars on a small eye shadow. I don't even really enjoy spending 10 bucks on something from target. The thing is, I know that, like fashionable shoes, cars, and many other products, you get what you pay for. So, the mission was to find quality products I could use on a regular bases and not have to sell my kidney to afford. And then I discovered E.L.F. at Target. Most of their products are 1 dollar. Yes, ONE DOLLAR. Some are 3, and a few are 6, but for the most part, 1 is what you're going to pay. I now have 6 makeup brushes, some mascara, tons of eye shadow, some blush, a palette of presses powder, some fake lashes, liquid eyeliner, some lip gloss and a package of makeup remover. I LOVE the products. They're not of the highest quality I've ever used, but they are certainly good. And for the price? Sheesh! Gotta love 'em!

So here is today's experiment. I was going for a sort of updated vintage look. Don't mind my pictures, the camera isn't great...

The eyes: black reflective eye shadow, with nude shadow on the upper lid, and liquid liner for a thin cat eye effect

I also blended some white into the corners and underneath
(for some reason my brow pencil is showing up red in these pics!!)

The finished product, at a glance.

Products used:
ELF tone correcting concealer
ELF translucent matifying powder
MAC beauty powder blush in Summer Rose
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara in Very Black
ELF waterproof eyeliner pen
ELF brightening eye color palette in DRAMA
ELF eye shadow in Pink Ice

TAH DAH! I can do makeup when I put my mind to it!

Happy Father's Day

To all the dad's out there. I didn't have much time with my dad, but he is always in my heart. Father's day usually doesn't hit me too hard, as I have my Poppie, who was my father figure growing up, around to celebrate with. This year, he's off in Africa helping people and spreading love, and he isn't around to keep my mind off things. I got to celebrate with my boyfriend's wonderful family, but I still miss my dad.

Well, I did it..

I got my septum pierced. After almost two years of wanting it, and never going ahead with my plans, I did it. Randy came to pick me up after he was done with work and took me on a little piercing/dinner date. If anyone in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area is looking for a good artist, I would recommend Greg at Club Tattoo on Thomas/Scottsdale. He did a very good job and didn't complain when I got light headed and wanted to lay down.

Obviously, that is not myself, but the lovely Scarlet Johanson. In my rush to get it over with, I forgot to arm Randy with the camera to take a shot of me with the needle through my nose. Oh well. In three weeks, when I can flip it back down, I'll take a proper shot.

Hair flowers and sweet hot-glue guns

Yay, i got my pin-up style hair flowers finished! Hopefully, once I perfect my methods, I'll start selling some on Etsy.

Oh, and theres a bow thrown in there too.

^^Yep, that's me when I have actually taken the time to do my hair and make-up. I am wearing 18 inch extensions, which will be the topic of another post, some time soon...

And let's not forget the second part of the post: My fabulous new hot-glue gun. All I can say is the "Sale" section at Michael's is utterly fantastic.

I hung out with my mom today and took a tour around Chandler as we are looking for a location for her to open her own shop. She has a blog too (www.ibbafleur.blogspot.com) but she hasn't updated it in a while. She's a bit less techo-savvy then some of us, but it should be up and running soon.

Thanks for reading!
Keep it fabulous,

OK...

No post for today. I planned to fix my big pin-up hair flowers and post about it, but Michael's didn't have the style of hair clips that I wanted. Oh well. Another day, another craft.
